Standings
The Padres go 5-1 on the week to vault into first place. San Diego has "owned Boston thus far" sweeping them both in Boston and at home. Boston dropped 5 of 6 last week to fall four games behind. Minnesota also broke out this week winning 4 of 6 for their first two series wins of the young season.

Week 4

Standings
San Diego went 5 and 1 last week against Oakland and Seattle to move into a tie for first place with Boston. Minnesota has been the biggest disappointment this year, now standing at 5-19, on pace to lose over 100 games. They aim to turn it around next week against Boston and Florida.

Walking the Plank
The Dread Pirates of Pittsburgh released their first edition of Walking the Plank, giving a detailed update of their 3-3 week against the Red Sox and 11-Ouncers. Highlights of the week included a 12-2 drubbing of Jeff Francis and the first place Boston Red Sox on Sunday. Read all about it here

League Leaders
The Commissioners office released the Joe Shlabotnik League Performance leaders through Week Three. Upon releasing the stats, the commissioner also released the following comment "Yahoo! We have a top ten! Everyone turned in stats!"
San Francisco has the most league leaders with 7, 3 of which are held by first baseman Prince Fielder (HR, RBI, Slg. Pct.) and 3 by Matt Cain (Innings Pitched, CG, H/IP). Edgar Rentaria leads the league with 7 doubles.

Week 3

Standings
The Red Sox are swept at home by San Diego, but then sweep Seattle to maintain a one game lead over San Francisco. San Diego moved into first after the sweep, but then lost two of three to San Francisco. San Francisco also went three and three on the week losing two of three vs. Seattle and winning two of three from San Diego. Florida stands in fourth, two games out after going 4-2 last week.

Boston takes a one game lead over San Francisco and Florida, by sweeping Pittsburgh at Pittsburgh and taking 2 out of three at San Francisco. San Francisco also swept Minnesota to leave them only a game behind. Florida took 2 of 3 from both Seattle and Oakland.
